南 垞

轻 舟 南 垞 去
北 垞 淼 难 即。

隔 浦 望 人 家
遥 遥 不 相 识。

Nan Cha

Qing zhou nan cha qu
Bei cha miao nan ji.                                                                                                                   Ge pu wang ren jia
Yao yao bu xiang shi.

Southern Levees

Small light boat returns to the southern embankments.
Northern embankments distant and difficult to reach.

Standing at the water’s edge, their houses at the limit of one’s eyesight
So distant and remote, they are not acquainted with each other.
