Gaze Into the Distance to the End of the Southern Mountains, Secluded Hermits Within the Purple Summits
Wang Zhong Nan Shan Ji Zi Tu Yin Zhe
Chu men jian nan shan
Yin ling yi wu xian.
Xiu se nan wei ming
Cang cui ri zai yan.
You shi bai yun qi
Tian ji zi shu juan.
Xin zhong yu zhi ran
Tuo xing mei bu qian.
He dang zao you ren
Mie ji qi jue yan.
Gaze Into the Distance to the End of the Southern Mountains, Secluded Hermits Within the Purple Summits
Outside the door to see the Southern Mountains
Crane my neck, ideas without limits.
Beauty difficult to describe
Dark verdant green daily in my eyes.
The season when the white clouds arise
Their borders fold and unfold towards heaven.
My heart moves just like them
These risings always not shallow.
Wonder when I can meet these secluded hermits again
To dwell on the summits with those who have put out the fires
and leave no footprints.
