Du Mu: Han River

Han River

汉 江
溶 溶 漾 漾 白 鸥 飞
绿 净 春 深 好 染 衣。
南 去 北 来 人 自 老
夕 阳 长 送 钓 船 归。
Han Jiang

Rong rong yang yang bai ou fei
Lu jing chun sheng hao ran yi.                                                                                                  Nan qu bei lai ren zi lao
Xi yang chang song diao chuan gui.

Han River

Broad and vast small ripples move, white seagulls fly
Deep greens cleansed at springtime, finely stain my clothes.

Most naturally age, arrive from the south, then go back north
Fishing boats return, long beams of the setting sun.

Notes:

Han River:  Longest tributary to the Changjiang.  It flows into the long river at the city of Wuhan, Hubei Province.
