Wrote This For the Gu Yuan Departure and the Open Country Grasses

Fu Dei Gu Yuan Cao Song Bie

Li li yuan shang cao
Yi sui yi ku rong.
Ye huo shao bu jin
Chun feng chui you sheng.

Yuan fang qin gu dao
Qing cui jie huang cheng.
You song wang sun qu
Qi qi man bie qing.

Wrote This Poem For the Gu Yuan Departure and the
Open Country Grasses

Green and luxuriant open country grasses
Every year they wither and die, only to return to prosperity.
Wildfires burn without containment
Spring breezes blow them back into emergence.

Distant and fragrant they encroach upon the ancient highways
Friends will take these bright emerald greens to the next barren city walls.
Imperial descendants also are sent out away from the capital
Lush and full are these emotions of departure.
